1st Hopwas Scout Group is the oldest Scout group in Staffordshire founded in 1915.
First Hopwas Scouts from 6-14 year olds
Beavers
(6-8 years old)
Beavers are young people.
Aged 6 to 8:
Master new skills and try new things
Have fun and go on adventures
Make friends
Are curious about the world around them
Help others and make a difference, on their own doorstops and beyond
Every week, they gather in groups called Beaver Colonies to hop, skip and jump their way through lots of different games and activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.
Cubs
(8-10.5 years old)
Cubs are young people.
Aged 8 to 10½:
Master new skills and try new things
Have fun and go on adventures
Make friends
Are curious about the world around them
Help others and make a difference, in their own communities and beyond
Every week, they gather in groups called Cub Packs to take part in lots of interesting and challenging activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.
Scouts
(10.5 – 14 years old)
Scouts are young people.
Aged 10 ½ to 14:
Master new skills and try new things
Make new friends
Have fun and go on adventures, at home and abroad
Explore the world around them
Help others and make a difference, in their own communities and beyond
Week in and week out, they gather in groups called Scout Troops to conquer the small task of changing the world and learning new skills.
