Scouts

(10.5 – 14 years old)

At Hopwas we have a strong Scout Troop and we aim to make sure that not only do they have a good time but they also overcome challenges and do things they would not have the chance to outside of Scouting.

In a typical year we might do camping, climbing, kayaking, hiking, orienteering, cooking, fire lighting, axe and saw, pioneering, ice skating, raft building and much, much more.

We also like to get involved around the local community by entering local competitions, litter picking and going on parade.

The troop, like the rest of the group, has strong ties with Tamworth Scout District and we frequently take part in joint events and competitions with other Scout troops in the area.
